Questions worth asking

Planning a wedding in another country comes with real questions. Here are the ones we hear most — answered honestly.

1. Do you work with couples from the United States?

Yes — most of our couples are based in the US and planning their wedding in Mexico from a distance. We're experienced in remote planning and guide you through every step, from vendor selection to wedding day production, so you never feel like you're navigating this alone.

2. Where in Mexico do you plan weddings?

We specialize in Mexico's most iconic non-beach destinations: Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Querétaro, and Morelos. Think colonial courtyards, historic haciendas, vineyards, and architectural venues — a side of Mexico that most wedding planners don't show.

3. What's the minimum investment for a wedding with Festino?

Our couples typically invest $60,000 USD or more in their total wedding. This covers venue, catering, décor, entertainment, and all production costs. Our planning fee is separate and tailored to each project. We don't publish pricing online — every wedding is different, and we'd rather give you an honest number after we understand your vision.

4. How many guests do you work with?

We work with weddings of 40 guests and up. Our sweet spot is intimate-to-mid-size celebrations where every detail gets the attention it deserves — not lost in a crowd.

5. Do you offer packages or is everything custom?

Everything is custom. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all weddings. After a discovery call, we design a proposal built entirely around your vision, your guest count, and your priorities. No two Festino weddings look the same.

6. How far in advance should we start planning?

We recommend reaching out at least 6 months before your date — ideally 9 to 12 months for weddings with 80+ guests or complex logistics. The earlier you start, the better your access to top venues and vendors.

7. Do you handle legal civil ceremonies for international couples?

Yes. We coordinate the civil ceremony process in Mexico as part of our full planning service, including documentation guidance for couples from abroad. You focus on the celebration — we handle the paperwork.

8. How does remote planning actually work?

We use video calls, shared planning tools, and regular check-ins to keep you informed and involved at every stage. Most of our US couples visit Mexico once or twice before the wedding — we handle everything in between.

9. Do you work with multicultural or interfaith ceremonies?

Absolutely. We have experience producing multicultural and interfaith celebrations and work closely with officiants, cultural specialists, and vendors who understand the significance of each tradition.

10. How do we get started?

Book a free 30-minute video call with Natalia or Mireille. We'll learn about your vision, answer your questions, and tell you honestly if we're the right fit for your wedding.
